Our school district has been in search of a part-time speech therapist for the past two years and we’ve had no luck securing someone for this position. For the 2019-2020 school year we had to go the route of using a Tele-Therapy agency for our speech therapy services and knew we needed to continue it for the 2020-2021 school year. We were made aware of Clover Therapy earlier this summer and we are so fortunate to be partnering with them for the 2020-2021 school year. Carolyn and Elisabeth have been a dream to work with. They care deeply about their students. Carolyn and Elisabeth did the leg work needed to become familiar with our students. The therapy our students receive is outstanding and specific to each individual’s needs. They have not only made good relationships with our students but with other staff members here at KMS. They are available for correspondence and for our IEP meetings. They have collaborated with our team as we worked through learning a new IEP system. Even though they are not here in person, our students still are receiving top notch therapy with a personal touch. Our special education teachers describe them as very kind, friendly, organized and open to ideas!! My husband suffered a devastating hemorrhagic stroke which affected his ability to speak, swallow and eat. Once he was out of the hospital, we contacted Elisabeth Boersma for Speech Therapy. Elisabeth worked with him diligently over the course of a year or so. She is extremely competent, caring, compassionate, creative and dedicated. She worked with him to improve his swallowing and speech. Elisabeth tried different therapies and methodologies and did research on her own time. She made suggestions and recommendations to improve my husband’s daily life. Elisabeth’s professionalism was exceptional, and we are greatly indebted to her. -Ann
Our family has known Ms. Carolyn Mentel Berson for the past 12 years. She began working with our son at the age of 1 for speech therapy services due to his left thalamic infarct. She has been a pleasure to work with bringing her attention to detail and innovative ideas. Her bed side manner and ability to work with children are excellent. I can highly recommend Carolyn as a SLP. She was one of the first to develop teletherapy services in our rural area and used our son as a test pilot. She is well suited to the challenges it provides and has a professional demeanor. -Britt
